Time Warner To Purchase More Samsung Tru2way Set-top Boxes

Time Warner Cable has ordered for more Samsung Electronics’ tru2way-enabled set-top boxes after extending the contract. The cable operator has already procured more than 400,000 Samsung boxes out of two million tru2way-based set-top boxes deployed till date. Time Warner will purchase SMT-H3090 and SMT-H3270 high-definition DVRs from Samsung.

Mike Hayashi, Time Warner Cable executive vice president said “We have been a leader in the rollout of tru2way devices, and we are continuing to grow our relationship with Samsung, a CE company dedicated to the development of new equipment meeting the necessary standards and offering attractive feature sets.”
