The Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball 2008-2009 season started on Friday and Qwest Communications’ ‘Winning Attitude’ program will honor middle school students around Colorado for the differences they make in their communities by providing outstanding efforts in sportsmanship, community involvement and teamwork.

University of Colorado (CU) and FSN Rocky Mountain will honor four middle school students with ‘Winning Attitude’ and will be extended and further six will also be honored during the CU football season.

During the men’s basketball season 2008-09 University of Colorado four winners will make a trip to home basketball game and prize money of a $1,000 contribution for their school from Qwest. These winners will be honored at:
Dec. 3 against Texas Christian University
Dec. 10 against Colorado State University
Jan. 24 against Kansas State University
Feb. 4 against University of Nebraska
A $2,500 contribution from Qwest for their school will be the grand prize money and a pep rally hosted at the winner’s school.

Rich Karlis, Qwest’s Director of Sponsorships and Events said ““It is incredible what these middle school students are doing for their communities, and Qwest is proud to support and encourage them to continue their winning attitudes.”
