Crocs To End Partnership With AVP Pro Beach Volleyball After 2009 Season
AVP Pro Beach Volleyball has announced that Crocs will be the title sponsor of the AVP Tour through the end of the 2009 season, which ends September 26 in Glendale, Arizona. Crocs will end longstanding partnership with AVP Pro Beach Volleyball this season. Crocs started the partnership with AVP Pro in 2006 and became the official footwear of the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. As tour title sponsor, Crocs was able to link the identity of their unique lifestyle footwear to the beach lifestyle embodied by the AVP.
Jason Hodell, CEO, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball said, “Crocs has been a tremendous partner for our sport. Their tour sponsorship fueled dramatic growth of beach volleyball, domestically and abroad. The sport simply would not be what it is today without them and we are grateful.”
John Duerden, Crocs CEO said, “We are very proud of the great partnership we have had with the AVP over the last several years, we want to thank the AVP staff and players for embracing us as their title sponsor and being great ambassadors for the Crocs brand. We will miss being involved but will always have a fondness for the great years we have had as title sponsor.”
