Comcast Launches ESPNU in Atlanta

Comcast has launched the sports network ESPNU on channel 298 in Atlanta. The leading cable operator is upgrading its network in Atlanta and added ESPNU to its Digital Classic Subscribers. Knoxville and Connecticut subscribers are also delivered with the college sports network.

ESPNU is a 24-hour television network focused college sports and will feature about 550 live events, mostly D-1 football and men’s/women’s basketball and college sports championships that includes 22 NCAA championships.

Vice president and general manager for Comcast said “Comcast recognizes that the people of Atlanta are passionate about their local college sports teams, and we are proud to offer them all the best action from UT and other local schools. The launch of ESPNU – along with the wealth of other sports networks we offer – delivers on Comcast’s commitment to being the top destination for sports fans for all the professional, college and high school sports action they want.”
