Charter Adds Two New HD Channels in Carolina Market

Charter Communications has launched two new high-definition channels in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Asheville, North Carolina. St.Louis, Missouri based cable operator has added HGTV HD and Food Network HD in its high-definition programming line-up.

Charter Communications To Offer NBCU’s 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Coverage in HD

Charter Communications has announced that they reached a distribution agreement with NBC Universal (NBCU) on Aug 05, 2008 to broadcast 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. This agreement will allow Charter to broadcast more than 1,200 total hours of Olympics coverage on seven of NBCU networks like NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, Telemundo, Universal HD and USA Network.
